There are a lot of ideas about America I had to break. The biggest one was that America is a happy equal place. and not everything is just. The way I was brought up I was sheltered from all the “bad.” and the idea that everyone can make it if they want and everyone has the same chances is all bs. I realized some people just are at a disadvantage and some people no matter how hard you work you are not going to make it. And our justice is not always justice. Things are not equal. There is a glass ceiling and there is a group of people who run this country and if your not in that group then you are at a disadvantage.
