Yes the American dream does still exist. For the most part if someone want to own a house they can. Some people though if they are not willing to put the effort into the dream will not achieve it. Also the traditional American dream had changed from the idea of the suburban home with two cars in the garage to variants of the life style people prefer. For some people now the American dream is a house out in the country or a nice apartment in new York city. And white picket fences are not too popular anymore. But really the American dream does still exist it has changed and it only exists if your willing to work for it.
